UTA West Storefront Opens Doors to Parker County’s Future.

What appears to be a simple storefront in Willow Park is the first step in a much larger story for Parker County and the greater Fort Worth area.

This week, university leaders and local officials gathered to cut the ribbon on UTA West’s new hub for community connection. Although the actual campus is still under construction, the storefront will serve as a welcoming center for future students and their families. It offers assistance with admissions, financial aid, advising, and other services designed to make higher education more accessible from the start.

Located just five miles from where the new UTA West campus will eventually be built, this space will help the university establish relationships and momentum. In contrast, plans for the permanent campus are being developed. That full campus is expected to open in fall 2028 and bring more than 2,200 new jobs to the region.

For now, the focus is on helping the community get familiar with what’s coming. UTA leaders say the storefront is more than just a temporary office. It’s a signal of long-term investment in Parker County’s growth and the future of higher education in the area.

Plans for the full campus include aligning programs with local industry needs and developing degrees that help students stay, work, and thrive close to home. UTA West isn’t just expanding. It’s planting roots.
