For nearly six decades, the Fort Worth Convention Center Arena has been where memories were made.
From concerts and sporting events to graduations, circuses, Ice Capades, and conventions, the arena has welcomed generations of North Texans since opening 58 years ago. On Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, it will host its final event before being demolished in 2027 to make way for the next phase of the Fort Worth Convention Center expansion.
Before the arena takes its final bow, the City of Fort Worth is asking the community to help preserve its history. Residents are invited to share photos, ticket stubs, posters, T-shirts, and other memorabilia. Flat items up to 11 by 17 inches can be scanned at any Fort Worth library and submitted for inclusion in the Fort Worth History Center’s permanent collection.
If you have a memory or keepsake from this Fort Worth icon, now is the time to share it. Learn more and submit your memories at fwpl.info/arenasubmissions.
