BENBROOK, TX — It was a big week on the track for Benbrook, with several Bobcats turning strong finishes into regional appearances and a few rewriting the record books along the way.

The boys’ 4×200 relay team of Evan Kramer, Jayden Hall, Quentin Thomas, and Jayden Deane led the charge, breaking their previous school record and setting a new school record with a time of 1:29.30. It marks another milestone for a group that continues to build momentum at the right time of the season.
Individually, Owen Atkins delivered one of the standout performances of the meet, finishing second in the 3200 meters with a personal best of 10:11, cutting 26 seconds off his previous time.
Mac Shafer cleared his way to regionals with a fourth-place finish in pole vault, while Quentin Thomas also advanced in the 100-meter dash.

On the girls’ side, the 4×200 relay team of Juliana Velasquez, Samantha Lindsey, Eleanor Vazquez, and Kira Cleveland posted a personal record of 1:46.34 to qualify. Lindsey added another regional berth in the 400 meters with a time of 58.03.
Several others came close, adding depth to a growing program. Addison Bowden placed sixth in discus, Lux Perez finished fifth in shot put, and Eve Carnegie took sixth in the 800 meters. The 4×400 relay team also turned in a sixth-place finish.
Reflecting more than times and placements, this is a sign of steady progress, with athletes pushing their limits and showing up when it counts.
Regionals are next, and this group is carrying both confidence and momentum.
