UIL Realignment Sets Benbrook’s District Opponents for 2026–2028.

High school sports across Texas are getting a new look, and Benbrook now knows where it will line up over the next several seasons.

The University Interscholastic League released its 2026–2028 Reclassification and Realignment, outlining new district assignments for football, basketball, and volleyball. The UIL website briefly went offline Monday morning as the alignments were published, with additional sports to be released later this spring.

For football, Fort Worth Benbrook will compete in Region 2 District 5 in Conference 4A Division 1 from 2026 to 2028. The district includes Carter-Riverside, Dunbar, Eastern Hills, Southwest, Western Hills, Diamond Hill-Jarvis, and Kennedale, setting up a slate heavy with familiar Fort Worth area rivals.

Basketball alignments place Benbrook in Region 1 District 8 for the 2026–2027 cycle. Along with Carter-Riverside, Dunbar, Eastern Hills, Southwest, Western Hills, and Diamond Hill-Jarvis, the district also includes Fort Worth Young Men’s Leadership Academy for boys and Fort Worth Young Women’s Leadership Academy for girls.

Volleyball will follow a similar Region 1 District 8 alignment, featuring Benbrook, Carter-Riverside, Dunbar, Eastern Hills, Southwest, Western Hills, Diamond Hill-Jarvis, and Fort Worth Young Women’s Leadership Academy.

The new alignments shape everything from travel schedules to rivalries and postseason paths, giving Benbrook athletes and fans an early look at what the next few years will bring.
