The Benbrook Middle-High School boys basketball team is off and running after wrapping up their first scrimmage of the season. The Bobcats showed plenty of promise along with a few areas to sharpen before the real games begin.
Saturday’s scrimmage against Huckabay and Graford gave the team valuable experience against two respected programs. Coaches and players alike expressed gratitude for the tough competition and the strong fan turnout that filled the gym with early-season energy.
With preseason play winding down, Benbrook faces Aubrey tonight in their final warm-up before the regular season begins Friday against Brownwood. Fans are encouraged to fill the stands and bring the noise as the Bobcats gear up for what’s expected to be an exciting year on the hardwood.
