It was Disco Night for the Lady Bobcats, but the festive energy wasn’t enough to secure a win. Facing off against the Eastern Hills Lady Highlanders, the Lady Bobcats struggled to find their rhythm, falling 52-26.
Hopes were high as the Benbrook boys’ team hit the court next, fresh off a commanding 55-33 victory over their cross-town rival, the Western Hills Cougars, earlier in the week. Despite their momentum, the Bobcats couldn’t break their losing streak against Eastern Hills, narrowly losing 57-52 and marking their fifth consecutive loss to the Highlanders. Jayden Hall turned in 17 points on the night and Kade Cross chipped in with 11 points for the Bobcats, but it just wasn’t enough.
With the defeat, the Bobcats’ record now stands at 15-13 overall and 5-3 in district, keeping them in 3rd place.
Looking ahead, the Bobcats have a week to regroup before facing the Carter-Riverside Eagles on Friday, January 31, at 7:30 p.m. They’ll aim to replicate their dominant 78-25 victory from their first meeting earlier this season.
