Bobcats Secure District Win Over Western Hills Cougars.

BENBROOK, TX—The Benbrook Bobcats brought their A-game this past Tuesday, defeating cross-town rival Western Hills Cougars 67-50 at the Wilkerson-Greines Gym.

Bobcats guards Brennan Barton and Jayden Hall led the charge. Barton scored 16 points and snagged three steals, continuing his streak of standout defensive play with at least two steals in his last three games. Hall contributed 14 points, going 6-for-8 from the field and being named Player of the Game, while Logan Goins added six points and six rebounds to round out the team’s strong performance.

The Bobcats’ offense shone brightly, securing their first district win of the season and boosting their overall record to 9-8. They’ve been averaging 56.8 points per game and look to carry this momentum into their next district game tonight against the Eastern Hills Highlanders, who sit at 5-6 and are eager to rebound from a narrow 56-55 loss to Desoto and a three-game losing streak.

The Cougars, now 3-11, will regroup as they prepare to face the Carter-Riverside Eagles, who are reeling from a tough 75-23 loss to Southwest.

Tonight’s Bobcats vs. Highlanders game tips off at 7:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to pack the stands and support their team as they look to build on this winning momentum heading into the holiday break.
