Volunteers Needed for Race on Race St.

A Fort Worth race with a bigger purpose needs a few extra hands before runners reach the starting line.

The 5th Annual Race on Race St. returns Oct. 10 at 2804 Race St. in Fort Worth, raising awareness and donations for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and its work to fight pancreatic cancer.

Organizers are looking for volunteers to help before and during the event. Opportunities include stuffing race packets, packet pickup, registration, parking, setup, water stations, and cheering runners along the course. Families, friends, coworkers, and groups are welcome to volunteer together.

Those who register by Sept. 26 will receive a free volunteer T-shirt.

You do not have to run the race to be part of the reason it happens. Benbrook-area residents looking for a way to spend a few hours helping out have plenty of places to pitch in.
