Something pretty exciting is happening at Cherry Lane and I-30 in West Fort Worth.
The Presbyterian Night Shelter is transforming a donated property into The Greater Good Collective, a new hub dedicated to providing people who’ve been overlooked with a genuine opportunity for steady work and a fresh start.
They’re expanding their UpSpire program, which already helps individuals get back on their feet through jobs such as landscaping, janitorial work, and even woodworking. Now, they’re adding a handyman service and junk removal business, plus two new storefronts: a donation center called Greater Give and a thrift shop called Greater Grab. All of these will offer hands-on job training and support for individuals who’ve had trouble finding stable employment, including women and mothers trying to reenter the workforce.
Renovations are scheduled to commence in late 2025, with the first businesses and jobs expected to open in 2026. It’s a big win for the Las Vegas Trail area and a real investment in the kind of change that sticks—reviving both lives and neighborhoods, one paycheck at a time.
