Rolling Hills Elementary Welcomes New Principal Ahead of School Year.

Change is coming to Rolling Hills Elementary, but Fort Worth ISD leaders say the focus remains the same: supporting students and maintaining strong leadership at the Benbrook campus.

In an update letter sent to families and staff, Fort Worth ISD Superintendent Dr. Peter Licata announced that Ms. Samantha Gonzalez will serve as the new principal of Rolling Hills Elementary School.

The move comes after district leadership shifted previously announced principal placements to address leadership needs at Como Success Academy, where Dr. Justin Barrett will now serve as principal.

District officials said the decision was made to provide stability and continuity for students and staff at Como Success Academy during an important time for the campus.

For Rolling Hills families, the announcement also brings a familiar name with a strong track record inside Fort Worth ISD.

Gonzalez brings 25 years of experience in education, including 17 years with FWISD. She previously led Bonnie Brae Elementary School for 9 years, during which the campus earned an A rating. After serving in San Antonio for two years, she returned to the district to lead Benbrook Elementary School, which also received an A rating.

According to the district, Gonzalez is known for instructional leadership, improving student achievement, and building strong campus communities.

The announcement also recognized outgoing Rolling Hills principal Ms. Kendall Condit, who is retiring after 15 years with Fort Worth ISD, including the last four years leading Rolling Hills Elementary.

District leaders thanked Condit for her years of service and wished her well in retirement as the campus prepares for a new chapter heading into the upcoming school year.
