Aledo families are grieving this week after an eighth-grade student died following a late-night ATV accident in Parker County.
According to initial reports, Parker County ESD 1, PCHD EMS, and law enforcement responded Tuesday evening, May 20, to an ATV crash on San Jacinto Drive. Authorities said one person was ejected during the accident. The incident proved fatal.
As investigators worked the scene overnight, word quickly spread throughout the Aledo community that the victim was Brayden Martin, a student at Aledo Middle School.
Friends, classmates, parents, and community members have since flooded social media with prayers, memories, and messages of support for the Martin family. The phrase “Live Like Brayden Martin” has already begun circulating as many look for ways to honor his life and encourage one another through the tragedy.
The loss has deeply impacted students and families across the area, serving as another sobering reminder of how quickly life can change.
As the investigation continues, many across Aledo and neighboring communities are simply focusing on supporting one another and lifting up a grieving family during an incredibly difficult week.
