Overnight Mosquito Spraying Set for West Benbrook After West Nile Detection.

Heads up, neighbors. The City of Benbrook will conduct targeted mosquito spraying on Wednesday night, October 22, from about 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, October 23, after Tarrant County Public Health confirmed a West Nile–positive mosquito sample near the 8400 block of Arroyo Lane.

Team Ranch Road generally borders the half-mile spray zone to the north, the I-20 service road to the south, Loop 820 to the west, and Benbrook Blvd to the east. Crews will not spray beyond city limits. The weather could shift the timing.

City officials note the truck-applied pesticide is used in low amounts and is not harmful to people or pets, though minimizing exposure is always smart. Practical steps you can take tonight: empty standing water, apply repellent, and wear long sleeves and pants if you are outside, especially from dusk to dawn.
