Storm Make-Up Lessons Shift Friday Swim Schedule at Benbrook YMCA.

Friday afternoon plans at the pool may need a quick adjustment for Benbrook families.

The Benbrook Community Center YMCA announced there will be no open swim today, May 1, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. as the facility makes up swim lessons canceled earlier this week because of Tuesday’s storms.

Lap swim will still be available from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. YMCA officials also noted that no lap lanes will be available during swim team activities.

After a week of unpredictable weather across North Texas, many local schedules are still being reshuffled, including at the pool. Families planning an evening swim may want to adjust their timing before heading over.
