More than 30 school board seats in the Fort Worth area will be decided in the upcoming election on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
The candidate filing period opened on January 15 and runs until 5 p.m. on February 14. Residents must register to vote by April 3. Early voting will take place from April 22 to April 29.
Fort Worth ISD Board Highlights
Five of the nine Fort Worth ISD school board seats will be on the ballot. These single-member districts allow trustees to represent specific geographic areas. Elected members serve four-year terms.
Here’s a breakdown of the seats:
- District 1: Camille Rodriguez, elected in 2022, represents parts of north Fort Worth. She also served a previous term from 2004 to 2008.
- District 4: Wallace Bridges, elected in 2022 to fill an unexpired term, represents southeast Fort Worth.
- District 7: Michael Ryan, elected in 2021, represents southwest Fort Worth, including Benbrook, and currently serves as one of the board’s vice presidents.
- District 8: Anael Luebanos, first elected in 2017, represents parts of south Fort Worth and currently serves as board secretary.
- District 9: Roxanne Martinez, elected in 2021, represents areas from Northside and Riverside to downtown and the Near Southside. She is the current school board president.
