Hard work continues to pay off for the choir at Western Hills High School, as the program celebrated another standout year on the state stage.
For the third straight year, Western Hills earned three All-State performers, a milestone that reflects months of discipline, preparation, and teamwork. Auditions began last June and stretched through three demanding rounds, narrowing more than 3,500 students statewide down to just 150 All-State singers.
This year’s final round took place at Texas Woman’s University, where five Western Hills students competed among the top 24 singers in their voice parts from over 30 schools across nine combined regions.
Leading the way were Dai’Juan Williams, who earned 1st Chair Bass, Kendyl Northrop with 3rd Chair Alto, and Joshua Raga with 5th Chair Bass. Dakota Cundiff finished 11th Chair, while Ryan Mundy secured 15th Chair, placing all five among the elite singers in the area.
Western Hills tied with Krum High School and Sunnyvale High School for the most All-State honorees from a single campus.
Under the steady leadership of choir director Blake Glass, the program continues to show that sustained excellence is built through consistency, high expectations, and a deep commitment to the arts.
Year after year, Western Hills proves its choir is not just talented, but resilient, focused, and among the very best in Texas.
