The stage is set for some of Benbrook and Western Hills’ most talented voices as local choir students have advanced in the prestigious TMEA All-State process, earning spots in regional ensembles.
Students from Benbrook Middle-High School and Western Hills High School will represent their campuses at the upcoming All-Region concerts in November, showcasing their hard work and musical dedication alongside peers from across North Texas. For many, this achievement is the first step toward a possible place in the coveted All-State Choir.
The list of honorees is impressive. Benbrook Middle-High School saw strong representation across sections, from altos like Avanelle Boyle and Elena Thomas to sopranos such as Campbell Glanzer and Hana Brown, with tenor Asher Ellison also advancing. Dozens more earned recognition in the Small School Region Treble Honor Choir, including Brileigh Satterwhite, Allison Ramirez, Madeleine LaChance, and Nicole Jennings.
Western Hills High School added its own chorus of standout performers. Students like Kendyl Northrop, Dai’Juan William, Omar Solis, and Leslie Burton secured spots in the Mixed Choir, while others, including Amy Guzman, Jude Chazarreta, and Raquel Pena, shined in the Treble Honor Choir.
The journey now continues at the All-Region Small School Choir Concert on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. and the Large School Choir Concert on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., both held at Arborlawn United Methodist Church in Fort Worth.
Advancing through the All-State process is no small feat, requiring rigorous auditions and months of practice. For these students, it is also a chance to represent Benbrook and Fort Worth ISD on a broader stage, proving that local talent can hold its own among the best in the state.
Residents are encouraged to attend and support these young performers as they take the next step in their musical journey.
