Western Hills High School is mourning the loss of longtime teacher and coach Heath Jackson, whose 11 years on campus reached well beyond the classroom.
Jackson taught Graphic Design while also investing years in Cougar athletics as a football coach and head wrestling coach. During his time leading the wrestling program, he helped student-athletes advance to district, regional and state competition.
His impact, however, was measured in more than wins and competition. For more than a decade, Jackson taught, coached and encouraged generations of Western Hills students and athletes.
Western Hills Football announced his passing while extending thoughts and prayers to Jackson’s family, friends, former students, athletes and others who knew him.
For the Cougar community, his influence will remain part of Western Hills long after his time on the sidelines and in the classroom.
Once a Cougar, always a Cougar.
