Benbrook Bobcats Sign for the Next Level at 2026 Signing Day.

It was a big Friday at Benbrook Middle-High School, and the gym felt it.

With family, teammates, teachers, coaches, and friends filling the room, six Bobcat student-athletes officially signed to continue both their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.

There was applause, proud tears, loud cheers, and the kind of moments families remember for years.

More than simply a Signing Day, the afternoon was a reminder of what years of early mornings, late practices, bus rides, and quiet sacrifices can lead to.

Brennan Barton signed to continue his football career at Austin College in Sherman, Texas. His work ethic and consistency helped him stand out, and now he takes that same drive to the next level on the gridiron.

Lily Carias signed to play both flag football and soccer at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Her ability to compete and lead in multiple sports reflects the kind of all-around athlete every program values.

Sebastian “Chevy” Martinez (hidden right, green shirt) committed to play Division II baseball as a two-way player at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, Oklahoma. Chevy has been a cornerstone of the Bobcats program, bringing versatility and leadership while competing at a high level on both sides of the game.

Alongside his brother Chevy, at the end of 2025, Giulianno “G” Martinez (sitting left, opposite side of Chevy), Class of 2026, committed to play NAIA baseball at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. A catcher and second baseman with a 3.7 GPA, G has been a varsity starter since freshman year.

Mac Shafer signed to wrestle at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. His commitment to the sport, having earned over 100 high school career wins, and the discipline it demands made this next step a natural one.

Dan Stiefvater also signed to play Division II baseball at Western Oklahoma State College. After joining the select team a few years ago and transferring to Benbrook from a private school last year, Dan, a bulldog at heart, quickly made his impact known and became an important part of the program.

Hudson Stockton signed to play Division I junior college baseball at Vernon College in Vernon, Texas. Stockton leaves Benbrook with a strong legacy, including a record-setting .529 ERA during his sophomore season. A steady presence on varsity since his freshman year, Hudson helped set the tone for a winning baseball culture.

There is also a deeper story connecting Hudson, Chevy, and G. All three have started on Benbrook varsity since their freshman year and have played together on the same select majors-level team since they were eight years old. From youth baseball diamonds to college commitments, they have grown up chasing the same dream side by side.

And that kind of story cannot be manufactured. It is built inning by inning, day by day, year by year.

Benbrook celebrated six signings last week, representing the truth that hard work still matters, loyalty still counts, and the next chapter is often written long before signing day ever arrives.
