A change of plans didn’t stop the Western Hills High School football coaching staff from investing in the season ahead.
The coaches had planned a summer retreat to Junction in the Texas Hill Country, but flooding forced them to cancel the trip. Instead, they stayed in Fort Worth and spent the day together at 1611 Golf Club, building relationships, sharing laughs, and preparing for the year ahead.
After a challenging 2025 season that ended with a 2-7 overall record and 1-5 mark in district play, the Cougars are using the offseason to reset, regroup, and lay the foundation for a fresh start.
Head Coach Blake Moilan said the day together was a great way to kick off preparations for the 2026 season. As summer workouts continue and opening kickoff draws closer, the Cougars are focused on turning the page and building toward a stronger year on and off the field.
