RIO VISTA, TX – The Lady Bobcats hit the diamond determined to finish strong at the Rio Vista Softball Tournament, and despite an early setback, they delivered a statement win to close out the weekend.
Kicking off the morning, the Lady Bobcats faced a tough challenge against a locked-in Rice Lady Bulldogs squad. Despite their best efforts, they couldn’t claw their way back, falling 8-3.
But they didn’t dwell on the loss for long. In their second matchup of the day, the Lady Bobcats got another shot at Keene—a team they had beaten earlier in the season.
The result? Another dominant performance, securing a 10-4 victory over the Lady Chargers.
Maelee Lindley was on fire, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, a triple, and a stolen base—marking her first multi-hit game since April 2024. Sealee Lindley was just as electric, also finishing 2-for-2 with a triple, a double, and a run scored.
As a team, the Lady Bobcats were dialed in at the plate, posting a season-high .429 batting average. The win pushes their record to 4-6 on the season and 2-2 in tournament play.
Next up, Benbrook returns home to host Rio Vista on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
