Benbrook’s beloved Fuego Burger is leaning on its community after a tough and unexpected turn.
Chef Carlos, the heart behind the grill, was recently injured in a violent incident inside the restaurant. He’s now in recovery and will be out for at least three months while he heals under medical care.
Thankfully, those responsible have been caught and charged, but the road ahead for Carlos and his family is still long.
In the meantime, his wife and son are keeping the kitchen running, serving up the burgers locals have come to crave. While the pace might feel a little different, the same love and dedication are still behind every plate.
Many in the community have already asked how to help. Donations through Venmo or Zelle are welcomed and will go directly toward Chef Carlos’s medical bills and recovery needs.
Fuego Burger has been more than just a place to eat for Benbrook. Now, it’s our turn to give back.
