What began as a tragic traffic shutdown earlier this month has now become a story of remembrance for a Fort Worth family grieving the loss of a loved one described as a man with “a social soul and an open heart.”
According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, 46-year-old Edwin Christopher Ferguson died following a rollover crash on West Loop 820 near White Settlement Road on May 11. Authorities said Ferguson’s vehicle struck a bridge pillar before rolling over. He was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force injuries.
The crash shut down all southbound lanes of Loop 820 near White Settlement Road for several hours as Fort Worth police and emergency crews responded.
In the days since, family and friends have remembered Ferguson not only for the life he lived, but for the relationships he built and the kindness he carried into everyday moments.
The full report can be read through the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
