If you drive I-30 at night, the next couple of weeks will come with a few detours.
Construction tied to the FM 2871 bridge is bringing a series of overnight closures along both eastbound and westbound lanes.
From April 13 through April 17, eastbound I-30 will be closed nightly between Spur 580 and Loop 820 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., with drivers redirected to I-20 eastbound and then northbound on Loop 820. A secondary option will route traffic along Spur 580 to Loop 820.

During those same nights, westbound I-30 will also be closed between Loop 820 and Chapel Creek Boulevard, with traffic detoured south on Loop 820 and west along I-20.
The pattern continues the following week. From April 20 through April 23, westbound I-30 will again close nightly in that same stretch for continued bridge construction.

For Benbrook-area drivers, these closures will mostly impact late evening and early morning travel, making it worth checking routes ahead of time.
