Fort Worth City Council will consider three major data center items Tuesday, Aug. 11, and the 2871 Community Coalition is urging residents to show up and speak up.
On the agenda are a proposed 90-day moratorium, creation of a data center committee and new filing requirements. The coalition supports the moratorium and filing requirements but wants residents, not industry representatives, holding voting seats on the proposed committee.
Residents can also speak about concerns including noise, water use, traffic, setbacks and the pace of data center development across Fort Worth.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail. Those attending are encouraged to arrive early and register to speak on the three data center items and during public comment.
