FWISD Makes Absence Notes Easier to Submit.

For Fort Worth ISD parents, turning in a note after a student misses school no longer means sending paperwork back in a backpack.

Parents can upload an excuse note directly through the district’s Parent Portal. After logging in, select Attendance from the left side of the screen, choose Submit New Absence Request, complete the form, and upload the student’s excuse note.

Parents who still need a Parent Portal account can find setup instructions at fwisd.org/parentportal.

Those who already have an account can log in at the FWISD Parent Portal.

It is a handy option for Benbrook Middle-High and other FWISD families, especially when the alternative is hoping that a doctor’s note actually makes it from the kitchen counter to school.
