Cresson firefighters remain on the front lines of the Ross Fire, with two apparatus now deployed to help crews battling the wildfire in Jack and Palo Pinto counties.
The Cresson Volunteer Fire Department said Thursday evening the additional deployment came at the request of authorities in both counties.
The department also shared video from Wednesday night showing a task force, including a Cresson apparatus, working to protect a home threatened by the fire.
Cresson crews have been assisting with the Ross Fire throughout the week, joining firefighters from across the region as the wildfire continues to demand resources and manpower.
