The Western Hills Cougars found their rhythm in a big way on Friday night, snapping a five-game losing streak with a dominant 78-27 victory over the Carter-Riverside Eagles.
The Cougars were unstoppable, posting their highest score of the season in what was a much-needed boost after a tough stretch.
The win also marked the end of a three-game home drought, bringing the Cougars to 7-18 overall and 2-6 in district play, placing them 6th in the standings.
The Cougars will look to keep their momentum going as they head into a pair of tough hardwood matchups this week. They will start with the Dunbar Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. tonight and the Diamond Hill-Jarvis Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
