The Benbrook Middle High School Bobcats started their 2025 to 2026 basketball season with the kind of energy that tells a community what might be coming. Their matchup with the Brownwood Lions was fast from the start, and Benbrook struck first, setting a tone they never surrendered.

The gym lifted early when Jayden Bradshaw threw down a breakaway dunk midway through the first quarter. It was the first big spark of the night and helped push the Bobcats to a 26 to 18 lead after one. By halftime, they held a steady 43 to 35 advantage.

Brownwood worked to stay close, leaning on timely three point shooting to keep the gap from stretching too wide. Each time they inched within reach, Benbrook answered. At the end of the third quarter, the Bobcats still led 61 to 52.

The closing stretch belonged to Benbrookโ€™s depth and a strong one two punch from the Jayden duo. Jayden Hall finished with 13 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds, while Jayden Bradshaw put together a standout performance with 24 points, 15 rebounds, 7 blocks, 2 steals and 2 assists. The bench added steady production that gave Benbrook a comfortable rhythm in the final minutes.

The Bobcats closed out a 76 to 69 win, giving fans a solid first look at a team that plays fast, aggressive and connected.

Benbrook returns to action on Tuesday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m. when they take on the O. D. Wyatt Chaparrals.
