Sometimes the best way to slow down is with a simple craft and a little creativity. The Benbrook Public Library is offering residents a chance to do just that with a hands-on paper quilling workshop this month.
Paper Quilling Rainbows takes place Thursday, March 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Benbrook Public Library, located at 1065 Mercedes Street. The program is designed for adults ages 18 and older and introduces participants to the art of paper quilling, a craft that uses thin strips of paper rolled and shaped into colorful designs.
During the session, attendees will learn how to use a quilling tool and experiment with different colors to create their own rainbow-themed artwork. All materials are provided, making it easy to try something new without bringing supplies.
Library staff says the class is a great option for anyone looking for a relaxing afternoon activity or a creative outlet while connecting with others in the community.
Registration is required for the program. Residents can learn more or sign up by visiting https://benbrooklibrary.org, emailing reference@benbrooklibrary.org, or calling 817-249-6632.
