BENBROOK, TX — A wave of red is sweeping through Benbrook as residents unite to honor the life of Lilly Taylor, a young girl whose passing has left the community heartbroken.

Lilly died from severe brain injuries following a tragic bicycle accident, and in her memory, neighbors and friends are covering the city in red bows.
Spearheaded by local resident Blair Moore, the grassroots effort has seen red bows tied to trees, signs, mailboxes, and light posts all over town. The message is simple but powerful—Lilly’s life and light will not be forgotten.
Community members looking to participate can find affordable red bows online and learn how to tie them by watching a quick tutorial on YouTube (see below).
The hope is to see bows lining US Highway 377 South, with local businesses and residents joining in to turn the corridor into a ribbon of remembrance.
Moore and others are encouraging anyone with connections to local officials or businesses to help expand the effort. Supplies, support, and helping hands are welcome. Those who want to get involved or contribute can reach out directly to Blair Moore or Stephanie Longdon.
The Taylor family, along with countless neighbors, is deeply moved by the love and support shown across Benbrook.
In a time of sorrow, the city has come together—one red bow at a time.
