The Benbrook Bobcats are headed to television.
Benbrook’s District 5-4A Division I matchup against Eastern Hills on Thursday, Oct. 1 has been selected as one of this season’s FOX 4 PLUS High School Football Game of the Week broadcasts, putting the Bobcats in front of viewers across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The weekly series will feature one marquee high school football game during each week of the regular season. So, if you can’t make it to the stadium, most broadcasts will air on Thursday nights and stream live on FOX 4 PLUS and the FOX LOCAL app.
The Oct. 1 rivalry game will be played at Herman Clark Stadium and is expected to be an important district matchup as teams compete for playoff positioning.
Benbrook is one of just six Fort Worth area schools selected for the featured schedule this season, joining Arlington Bowie, Mansfield Timberview, Eastern Hills, Byron Nelson, and Keller.
It’s a great opportunity for the Bobcats to showcase the program and community on one of the region’s biggest stages.
So, if you can be there, let’s pack the stands with plenty of green and gold. After all, there’s nothing quite like Friday night high school football, even when it’s played on a Thursday.
