Benbrook Middle-High School Wraps Up Year With Awards and Senior Traditions.

The final week of school has officially arrived at Benbrook Middle-High School, and the campus is closing out the year with a full schedule of celebrations, awards, and senior traditions.

The week begins Monday, May 18, with awards ceremonies honoring 8th grade and graduating seniors inside the BMHS Auditorium at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tuesday night shifts the spotlight to 6th and 7th-grade students with another round of awards ceremonies beginning at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Earlier that morning, seniors will take part in one of the school year’s most emotional traditions, the Senior Clapout, as graduating students walk through elementary campuses beginning at Westpark Elementary at 9 a.m.

On Wednesday, May 20, freshmen through juniors will be recognized during the 9th through 11th grade awards ceremonies at 6 p.m. in the auditorium.

Then comes Thursday, May 21, the final day of school for students and staff.

For many Benbrook families, this week marks the close of another chapter filled with classrooms, concerts, ballgames, friendships, and milestones that seemed far away back in August.

By Thursday afternoon, hallways will empty, summer officially begins, and another group of Bobcats moves one step closer to what’s next.
