It has already been a record-setting year for Benbrook Middle-High School, and now several Bobcats are headed to Austin with a chance to compete among the best students in Texas.
After earning a third-place overall finish at the UIL Regional competition, the highest regional finish in school history, BMHS is now sending its largest group of state academic qualifiers ever to the UIL State competition.
Students qualified for the state by finishing in the top three of their individual events or advancing as part of a qualifying team.

The accomplishment marks another milestone for a campus that continues to build momentum not only in athletics but also in academics and fine arts.
School leaders also shared that BMHS students will continue competing at the state level after the school year ends through orchestra, band, and choir competitions.
For these students, the trip to Austin is more than another competition. It is the result of long practice, late nights, preparation, teamwork, and representing Benbrook on one of the state’s biggest academic stages.
