Benbrook Mahj House Finds More to Love.

What was supposed to be a visit to The Bamboo Room turned into the kind of morning a mahjong fan can’t easily leave.

Carrie from Benbrook Mahj House and Diane Hudson Wheat recently stopped by to learn about the shop’s collection of mahjong tiles, racks, mats, and jewelry. The magnetic mahjong table proved especially entertaining, with Carrie joking that she eventually had to drag Diane away.

Then they spotted the Taylor Swift tiles.

Carrie came away impressed by both the selection and the women behind The Bamboo Room, calling them enthusiastic and encouraging fellow mahjong players to stop in for themselves.

The timing was fitting, too. Benbrook Mahj House is holding its first monthly event, giving local players another chance to gather, play, and make a few new friends around the mahjong table.
