Benbrook Firefighters Advance Swift Water Rescue Training.

Two Benbrook firefighters are taking their water rescue skills to the next level.

Benbrook IAFF Local 5020 members Jacob “Guts” Guiterrez of A Shift and Matthew Bridges of C Shift are completing swift water rescue training this week through their respective volunteer departments, Granbury VFD and Indian Harbor VFD.

Both have earned technician-level certification and are now working toward advanced-level training.

The additional training builds skills for challenging water-rescue situations while bringing even more experience back to the Benbrook community.
