Benbrook Firefighters Sharpen Skills at Regional Training in McKinney.

Six members of the Benbrook IAFF Local 5020 spent the weekend in McKinney taking part in advanced truck company training alongside firefighters from across the Metroplex.

The hands-on sessions focused on essential techniques such as forcible entry, ventilation, and search and rescue, helping crews stay sharp and ready for real-world emergencies. The training was hosted by Fir Na Tine FOOLS, a firefighter organization dedicated to advancing skill and safety through professional development and camaraderie.

Those representing Benbrook included Jacob Gutierrez, Alex Almon, Drew Belanger, Roberto Sanchez, Nathan Justice, and Will Hauss.

Continuous training like this ensures Benbrook’s firefighters remain prepared, skilled, and ready to protect the community when it matters most.
