Fort Worth ISD is celebrating a standout football season as six of its teams head into the UIL State Playoffs, marking one of the district’s strongest showings in recent years.
In 5A Division 1, both O. D. Wyatt High School and Arlington Heights High School closed out their regular seasons as Co-District Champions. For Wyatt, it marks the first district title since 1998. Heights last claimed the honor in 2015, making this year’s finish especially meaningful for both programs.
In 4A Division 1, Eastern Hills High School secured the third playoff seed, while Amon Carter-Riverside High School made a historic return to postseason play after a 30-year drought.
Two more programs kept their momentum rolling. Benbrook Middle-High School and Dunbar High School clinched back-to-back playoff appearances in 4A Division 2, adding more excitement to an already electric season for FWISD football.
The opening round kicks off today and runs through Saturday. Fans can find game times and purchase tickets at fwisdathletics.com.
