A ship trapped in Arctic ice, a mysterious stranger, and a chilling story of ambition gone too far. That’s the setting for On the Winds, an original adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein presented by Western Hills High School Theatre.
The student production follows Captain Walton, played by Coby Turner, whose crew rescues Dr. Frankenstein and soon discovers the troubling consequences of his relentless pursuit of greatness.
Performances are scheduled for November 14 and 15 at 2 p.m. in the school’s Julia Worthington Black Box Theatre.
It’s a chance for local families to support young performers while enjoying a fresh take on a literary classic that asks a haunting question: Who is the real monster?
