Pulling off prom takes far more than a dance floor and a playlist.
At Western Hills High School, Prom 2026 came together through weeks of planning, long setup nights, parent volunteers, staff teamwork, and a lot of people willing to do the behind-the-scenes work that students may never fully see.
This year’s “Arabian Nights” prom became exactly what organizers hoped for: a memorable night for students and seniors to celebrate together.
School leaders gave special thanks to Ms. Skelton, Ms. Mendoza, Ms. Hester, Doc Lane, and parent volunteers for helping transform the space into something special. Ms. Barnebee and campus administration helped keep check-in running smoothly, while staff members served Prima’s Pasta and the dessert table, chaperoned the evening, and helped keep the energy high throughout the night.
Coach Foster and Coach Washington handled shuttle transportation and student pickup, while Ms. Patty and Ralph helped create memorable backdrop photos. Community support also came from LVTRise, McKenzie Beggs, and Cougar Pride Alumni, whose donations helped bring the vision to life.
Organizers also recognized Mr. Hickox for guiding the event from start to finish, Ms. Bell for emcee support, and several staff members who stayed late for cleanup and final details.
At the center of it all were Coach Navarro and Coach Nowak, whose leadership alongside the senior board helped shape the entire experience and bring the “Arabian Nights” theme to life.
Prom is often remembered for the photos, the dresses, and the final dance of senior year. But just as meaningful are the people who quietly make it happen.
For Western Hills, Prom 2026 was more than a successful event. It was a reminder that school memories are built by a whole community.
