Welman Project Turns the Page, Begins New Chapter on South Main.

For years, the Welman Project’s colorful Vickery Boulevard location welcomed teachers, volunteers, donors, and community partners through its doors.

Last week, the organization officially closed that chapter, completing its final cleanout and saying goodbye to a space that became home to so many.

In a message to supporters, the Welman Project reflected on the memories made at the Vickery location and the relationships built along the way.

While the building is now behind them, the mission remains the same.

“The heart of Welman isn’t a building,” the organization shared, noting that its community continues wherever the work takes place.

There were still plenty of emotions as the doors closed for the final time, but the Welman Project is already looking ahead to its next chapter.

Supporters can now find the organization at its new home on South Main, where it will continue providing resources and support for educators and students across North Texas.

Sometimes a change of address is more than a move. It’s a reminder that the people behind a mission are what make it matter.
