Trauma Patient Transport Draws Emergency Response to Benbrook Middle-High School.

Emergency activity at Benbrook Middle-High School on Tuesday afternoon was part of an effort to quickly transport a seriously injured patient to a Dallas hospital.

According to DFW Scanner, a CareFlite helicopter was initially dispatched to Benbrook Middle-High School to meet a Pecan Plantation EMS ambulance transporting a patient with a severe hand injury from a table saw in Hood County.

Storms prevented an airlift from the scene, prompting plans for a helicopter intercept in Benbrook to speed the patient’s transfer to a Dallas hospital. However, worsening weather also canceled that landing, and the patient continued by ground ambulance.
