For Benbrook Middle-High students taking classes for high school credit, showing up matters for more than keeping up with assignments.
Students must attend at least 90% of the time a class meets to receive credit. Students who need to recover attendance hours from Spring 2026 have already been notified by the school.
BMHS will offer three Saturday attendance recovery sessions:
- Aug. 29
- Sept. 12
- Sept. 19
Each session runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students should report to the library to sign in and bring their laptop, as they will be expected to complete schoolwork during the recovery hours.
Any location changes will be communicated through ParentSquare.
The school also reminds families that attendance recovery only addresses missed class time. If a student failed a course because of grades, completing attendance recovery will not restore the course credit.
