On January 15, 2025, a dramatic pursuit involving a stolen truck tractor unfolded near Benbrook, Texas.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported that Troopers were alerted to the stolen vehicle in Garland. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver, identified as 28-year-old Jeffery Harris of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, refused to comply, sparking a high-speed chase.
The pursuit concluded on the Chisholm Trail Parkway near McPherson Road after DPS Troopers deployed spike strips, successfully disabling the vehicle. Harris was arrested on charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and taken to the Tarrant County Jail.
Remarkably, no injuries or property damage occurred during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
