Benbrook residents are in for a treat with the upcoming opening of a real-life restaurant in west Fort Worth, just a short drive away. The space, previously featured as “Patch Cafe” on the TV series Landman, will soon welcome guests as a full-service Texas-themed eatery. It is set to open later this year.
Owner Philip Murrin announced that the family-run restaurant will serve classic Texas fare, including steaks and chicken-fried steaks, prepared by the culinary team at River Ranch Stockyards. Alongside it, a premium ice cream shop, Rosebuds Picnic Supply, will open this summer, offering sandwiches and salads.
The restaurant and ice cream shop are part of Murrin’s vision to revitalize the neighborhood retail center his family built in 1951. This center, located at 9840 and 9812 Camp Bowie West Blvd., is positioned between Fort Worth and growing communities like Aledo, Benbrook, Veale Ranch, and Walsh Ranch.
The area, once a stop on the transcontinental U.S. highway, is experiencing a resurgence. Local favorites like JD’s Hamburgers and the soon-to-open Margie’s Italian Gardens are bringing new energy to the area.
With its rich history and proximity to Benbrook, the new restaurant will provide another exciting dining option for locals and tourists.
