New Poll Shows Texans Value Public Libraries.

How important are public libraries to Texans? According to a new statewide poll, the answer is pretty clear.

The Texas Library Association recently shared results from a public opinion survey conducted by KRC Research, highlighting strong support for libraries and the services they provide.

Among the findings:

• 90% believe public libraries should be treated as an essential public service.
• 95% say libraries should provide broad, uncensored access to different ideas and viewpoints.
• 93% believe libraries play an important role in bridging the digital divide.

For the Benbrook Public Library, the findings reflect its commitment to providing access to information, learning opportunities, and a welcoming place for residents.

The library is also inviting residents to share how its services have made a difference in their lives.
