In a city that values community, the Benbrook Public Library continues to set a high bar.
For the fourth consecutive year, the library has received the 2025 Achievement of Excellence in Libraries Award, a statewide honor recognizing outstanding service, programming, marketing, workforce development, literacy support, digital inclusion, and community collaboration.
Out of 516 public libraries across Texas, only 101 earned the distinction this year. That places Benbrook’s library in the top 20 percent statewide.
Awards like this are not just about numbers. They reflect story times packed with families, job seekers using public computers, students finding a quiet place to study, and neighbors gathering for workshops and events.
Behind it all are dedicated staff members, volunteers, the Friends of the Benbrook Library, and a supportive Board of Trustees.
