Some Benbrook residents may have noticed a burst of jet activity overhead Tuesday afternoon, including several low flyovers around 1:30 p.m.
Witnesses reported seeing about 10 jets pass through the area within a short period, prompting curiosity and concern among a few neighbors.
According to current information from Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, the activity appears to be part of scheduled training exercises rather than an emergency.
The base recently announced a jet training period running from February 18 through March 26, 2026. During this time, residents across Fort Worth, Benbrook, and nearby communities may notice increased aircraft activity as pilots conduct routine training operations.
NAS JRB Fort Worth regularly supports aircraft such as the F 35, F-16, and C-130, providing training for Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force personnel.
Officials say there are no reports of any emergency incident connected to the flights. The activity is part of normal operations at the base, which sits just northeast of Benbrook and frequently conducts flight training year-round.
