Lady Cougars Socoer Stay in District Hunt with Shutout Win.

Western Hills girls’ soccer continues to build momentum at the right time.

Since their last loss to cross-town rival Benbrook, the Lady Cougars have put together a four-game winning streak. They entered Friday night 5-13 overall but 5-2 in district play, sitting second behind the Lady Bobcats.

Young Women’s Leadership Academy stood in the way, a team the Lady Cougars handled 7-0 earlier in the district.

And this time, the Lady Cougars once again took care of business. Playing their second straight road match, they controlled the tempo, limited scoring chances, and earned a 4-0 shutout.

The win moves Western Hills to 6-13 on the season and 6-2 in district, keeping them firmly in second place.

Next up is another road test against Eastern Hills on Tuesday, followed by a highly anticipated home matchup on Friday against the undefeated district leader, the Lady Bobcats of Benbrook.

With the streak intact and confidence growing, the Lady Cougars are setting up a meaningful week in the district race.
