The Western Hills Lady Cougars brought their A-game to the court last night, handling the Diamond Hill-Jarvis Eagles with ease in a 61-34 blowout.
By the end of the third quarter, the Cougars had stretched their lead to 55-21, a gap the Eagles tried to close but ultimately couldn’t overcome.
This victory marks the Cougars’ eighth win in their last ten games. It improves their record to 14-12 overall and 8-3 in district play, keeping them locked in at second in the district rankings. Their solid defensive performance has been key, allowing just 28.9 points per game on average.
But with their next challenge ahead—a battle against Southwest and their four-game win streak—the Lady Cougars will need to stay focused as they prepare for Tuesday’s matchup at 6:00 p.m.
