Lady Bobcats Soccer Dominate District Opener.

The Lady Bobcats put on an unforgettable performance last night, shutting out the Diamond Hill-Jarvis Lady Eagles in their district opener with a dominant 9-0 victory.

After struggling with low-scoring games in their previous matchups, the Bobcats’ offense came alive with seven different players finding the back of the net. By halftime, Benbrook led 6-0, and they kept the pressure on in the second half to finish with a commanding win.

The defense was equally impressive, as they completely shut down the Lady Eagles’ attack, keeping them from scoring all night.

Benbrook’s scoring was led by Sydney Chavez (1 goal), Lily Chavez (2 goals), Randee Slater (1 goal), Grace Klaerner (2 goals), Kira Cleveland (1 goal), Jessica Anzaldua (1 goal), and Lexi Garcia (1 goal). Special shoutout to Sydney Chavez, who was named the Benbrook player of the match for her standout performance.

With a 5-3-1 record on the season and a perfect 1-0 start in district play, the Lady Bobcats are currently ranked first in the district.

Next up: a Friday night showdown at home against the Southwest Lady Raiders, who are riding a five-game losing streak. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m.
